So I have very fluctuating self-esteem, but sometimes it does average around the lower end of the spectrum. I’ve always struggled with my self-esteem and body image issues – at least since middle school days. I won’t make any excuses as to why, but I have always struggled with my looks. As I’ve matured especially over the last year or so, I realize that I must be nicer to my body and ultimately to myself, in order to feel good about myself.
I literally compliment everyone on their looks and how they’ve gotten in shape or whatever, and I think it’s about time that I start giving that same type of positivity to myself. So starting this week I am setting positive affirmations alarms on my phone about my body and the way I look – just as reminders to love who I am. I’m also spending more time just in awe of all the amazing things my body can do – such as work out and jumping at the trampoline place!
What are some ways you promote your own body positivity? I would love to hear your suggestions in the comments especially as I continue down the road of genuinely loving myself.
